During some stages of your pregnancy you probably will not feel 100%. You may be a bit tired and uncomfortable with your growing belly. But what everyone around you sees when they look at that sweet bump, is the beautiful miracle of life growing inside of you. Through my lens I want to show you what everyone around you sees, how absolutely stunning and beautiful you are!

I totally understand that none of the expectant mothers I photograph are experienced models and that the idea of posing in front of someone you don’t know can be very daunting. Which is why I promise to guide you and direct you all the way! So let’s have fun together and capture some stunning images that celebrate the wonderful changes that your body is going through during this season in your life.
Maternity sessions are usually booked for between 34 to 37 weeks of pregnancy. However it is up to decide when your belly looks simply beautiful to you in your own eyes. Fathers to be are more than welcome to be part of your photoshoot. If this is not your first child and you would like to have photos with your whole family during this special time, let's talk about tailoring a family portrait package to suit.
Birth Photography
“My labour was short and so time was definitely of the essence, Rose dropped everything when she got the call and made it to the birthing centre in time to capture some wonderful moments before, during and after the birth of our newest baby girl. Rose was incredible, getting so many shots while seamlessly blending in with everything that was going on at the time. We have some absolutely stunning images not only from the birth but also weigh and measure, first feed, first meeting with her older sister as well as Nana and Grandad who arrived soon after they got the call to say our wee one had arrived safely, they are photos and memories I will always treasure.”

It is the unfolding moments and the tiny details that make each labour and birth uniquely beautiful. The moments that tell the story of how loved and supported you were, as you rode the wave of each contraction. The moments of stillness in-between. The moment your baby enters this world and takes his or her first breath. All the emotions that burst from you and your partner when the waiting is over and you get to meet your baby for the first time! No matter whether your birth goes exactly as planned, or completely changes on the day, every woman's birth story is beautiful and deserves to be celebrated.

If this is your first child you may wish to consider a ‘First Moments’ photoshoot - sometimes also known as a Fresh 48 photoshoot, as it is usually captured within 48 hours after birth. This is a great option for anyone who is not sure about having a professional photographer there for the birth of your child, but would still really like to capture all those beautiful life changing first experiences.
Newborn Photography

I hold a special place in my heart for newborn photoshoots! I still remember those first few days and weeks of becoming a mum. I remember looking at this new life we had just brought into the world, thinking how insanely overwhelming and intense this new kind of love felt - a love that is literally like no other.
It’s the little moments of connection between you and your baby that I wish to capture for you and your family. The way you carefully hold them in your arms, introduce them to their sibling, how you hold their little fingers while you feed. My desire is that in years to come, the moments I have captured will remind you of all the amazing feelings, emotions and changes you went through, during this super special time in your lives.
I will capture all the fun that comes with having a newborn in the house: special moments between siblings, cuddles and feeding. It’s also about capturing all those precious little details, from their cute little wrinkly toes right up to that adorable tiny button nose! Although my style is mostly about capturing natural moments of your new family, I will also take a few more traditional posed sleepy newborn photos of your baby, if he or she falls asleep during our session.
The ideal time to photograph your beautiful new baby boy or girl, is in the first six weeks. My preference is to photograph you and your family in the comfort of your own home, as I have found that babies and younger older siblings are so much more relaxed in an environment they are used to, with familiar smells and sounds around them.
I recommend you book your newborn photoshoot before your baby arrives, so that it is one less thing you need to be thinking of during those hazy early days. We can then keep in touch about the date and timing of this session, as it will depend a little on what your baby is up to on the proposed day of your photoshoot and of course when they arrive in relation to your estimated due date.
